I am so amped for Halloween Kills (2021). I am as hyped for this as I was It (2017) and It: Chapter 2 (2019). Let’s get after it.
There is going to be so much carnage in Halloween Kills. This final trailer begins with putting children in jeopardy…how dare you Michael Myers! Then we have a car of bystanders who are just mercilessly butchered in a car with the classic kitchen knife. There is going to be violence galore.
Poor Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) thinks that she killed Michael Myers. That just is not the case at all. The shots of Myers walking out of the fire drenched in what appears to be water while looking all sorts of ghoulish is just so fucking cool. How much time do we think they planned his rebirth? It is like a phoenix being reborn from the ashes, but instead of a positive new beginning, it’s a violent reincarnation.
Oh, and now we are getting flashbacks to the original Halloween (1978)?! Young Jamie Lee Curtis and the young women she babysat for! What a cool little call back. Older Lindsey Wallace is being played by Kyle Richards, and she is the women we see warning the kids at the start of the trailer. Lindsey is not the only survivor to make an appearance in this trailer, so it appears that the gang of lucky players from 1963 are looking to team up now.
The Strode family is going out on its own hunting spree and from what it appears, they are going to meet some resistance from the police force. Understandable if you ask me.
All roads in Halloween Kills are tracking back to where Michael Myers grew up. His childhood home. Based off what the trailer shows, it’s not positive things for the old couple currently residing in his residence.
The final portion of this trailer is kills upon kills upon kills. We have someone being thrown off a building. We have a face to face meeting between Michael and Allyson (Andi Matichak) and her leg seems to be broken in the scuffle. The final Halloween Kills preview ends with Laurie demanding to be the one to get Myers in the vulnerable spot to unveil him from his mask. The final clip is of someone struggling with Michael’s mask, but we don’t know who it is.
Halloween Kills arrives in theaters and Peacock to frighten us all on October 15, 2021.
Loved this draft idea from The Big Picture crew. I am not going to be able to do my normal redrafting because there is just enough movies to pick from, but I will have fun going through all of the different categories and determining what my dream lineup would be from the movies i have…
