This is the line the we open this latest trailer with. And it is just Alexander Skarsgård looking like a rabid wolf eying and taking in all the violence around him.
You know what, who needs dialogue?
This trailer for The Northman is all about the visual propulsive engine that director Robert Eggers is going far.
How can you not be enthralled about stunning images this trailer highlights? You know what the story is and you know how it is going to feel…all without any spoken exposition. It is already a testament to how The Northman can entrap someone with the way it looks.
Is The Northman going to be like Mad Max: Fury Road (2017) where everyone who sees it treats it as one of the best in the genre ever? Both movies seem to rely on massive action pieces, minimal dialogue, a quiet, and a brooding hero.
“I can not escape my fate.”
I cannot wait for The Northman. It is being released into theaters on April 22, 2022.
