Standings at the end of week one.

Week 1 Matchup Recap

My Glockz Out (170.96) defeats Dirty Mike And The Boys (138.26)

McLaughlin got out to a massive start on Thursday and never looked behind. He got 27.42 points from Dak Prescott, 32.4 points from Amari Cooper and 25.0 points from Rob Gronkowski before Ritz could even blink. What is most scary is that McLaughlin won despite Zac Moss getting literally zero points.

Ritz, while getting beat by a wide margin, has some upside to look at. He scored middle tier in terms of points in the week and that is without Derrick Henry doing this thing. If Kyler Murray continues to do his thing then there is upside for sure. Things could have gotten a little interesting if he played Sterling Shepard in the flix and Mike Williams in the WR2 or WR3 slot, but now we are just tugging at strings.

Sure you lose week one, but Ritz new it early and could focus on Monique’s 30th birthday.

The MVP of this matchup was just the idea of the Dallas Cowboys. If there defense is bad all year, then the stack of Prescott and Cooper is going to be very nice to My Glockz Out.

ESPNFan 12319776 (103.62) defeats Team Lobo (66.8)

I mean Lobo, what the fuck happened man? On three players scored in double figure points, one of which was your kicker. A team total of 66.8 points. SHEESH.

While Lobo is hitting the pink ball off the tee with his pants down, Steve is fortunate because he had the third first points scored in the week but still managed to eke out a win. Not a good time to have your Packers heavy team just bite the bullet and total up 11.2 points. Also the flaunted Washington defense only got one point as well. But a win is a win.

The MVP of this game is Steve for his selection of whom to play. His bench scored only 39.32 points total which is not great. Steve is going to have to be strategic with Gus Edwards and Trey Sermon both out.

Also, Lobo. Give yourself a team name.

Oh Jeudy James Jeudy (114.4) Defeats Jonathan Taylor Thomas Brady (105.26)

Aaron Jones really fucked Jimmy. Only 3.2 points from a quality RB1 type player really screwed the younger Simon brother. Only lost by roughly nine points so even one more touchdown run would have made things really interesting.

Matt on the other hand won this game despite playing Brandon Aiyuk on San Francisco who was a late scratch.** Winning with someone putting up a zero is pretty hard to do. Even harder is when your defense goes for -1.0 and your kicker going 1.0.

If Melvin Gordon III does what he did week one (19.3 points) throughout the season then Matt is in good shape.

The most devastating news is the Jeury Jeudy is now hurt so does that mean that Matt needs to change his name?

The MVP os this matchup is Adam Thielen for Minnesota. The No. 2 receiver on the Vikings put up No. 1 numbers and saved McGinnity with 25.7 points.

*Amendment here, Aiiyuk was not a scratch. He just didn’t do diddly. Still impressive.

Now You CeeDee Now You Don’t (148.74) Defeats Get McCaffreinated (142.28)

Random side note before getting into this one quick. Ronan, the lower case “you” in your team name while all the other words are capitalized is driving me CRAZY.

This was the closest matchup of the entire week. it came down to Monday night and Buzzi needed Mark Andrews of Baltimore to get solid points. He just couldn’t do it, even with the extra time of overtime.

Buzzi’s team was a lot of boom or bust with Patrick Mahomes and Christian McCaffrey dominating while Ronan was just steady eddy with players going a double-digits and just being smooth.

Both Ronan and Buzzi put up points and should be ecstatic if they average this total for the reminder of the season.

The MVP of this matchup has to be D’Andre Swift. Playing on a shitty Detroit Lions team, He ended up with 20.4 points in a game that looked like it was going to be a destruction of morale. The Lions kept fighting back which meant Swift kept on running.

Deus Ex Mac (156.06) Defeats Ja’Marr The Merrier (98.46)

I am going to be honest, this was a beat down. I am sorry T-Si.

I would like to thank Jalen Hurst for being very solid and then my WR duo of DeAndre Hopkins and Cooper Kupp for both giving my 20+ point efforts. The loss of Jerry Jeudy as my definite number three receiver is going to hurt so going to have to adjust.

Tommy got screwed over big-time be Ezekiel Elliot and Najee Harris, who combined for 10.3 points. The tragic part for T-Si is that this is not going to be the norm, so this week on blimp really got him. Zeke’s low output was just based off what Tampa Bay was setting up in; they wanted Dak to beat them. Harris had the largest share of offensive snaps compared to any other RB in the NFL…but only had 5.4 points. There are bigger and better days ahead of him for sure.

The MVP of this game was the matchups my players had. I know this is cliche, but I had Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders going up against a bad Atlanta team, DeAndre Hopkins going up against a bad defense and Cooper Kupp against a bad Chicago team. Meanwhile Tommy had his top RB against Tampa Bay, two players against Baltimore and his No. 2 RB against Buffalo.

Week Two Matchups

Get McCaffreinated (0-1) vs. Team Lobo (0-1)
Jonathan Taylor Thomas Brady (0-1) vs. Deus Ex Mac (1-0)
Now You CeeDee, Now You Don’t (1-0) vs. My Glockz Out (1-0)
Ja’Marr The Merrier (0-1) vs. ESPNFan 12319776 (1-0)
Ooooo Jeudy James Jeudy (1-0) vs. Dirty Mike And The Boys (0-1)

Fantasy Baseball Recap: Week Eight (May 22 – May 28)

I am starting to think that I am the “bye week” in this league. But hey, them the brakes. I had some rough choices in terms of lineup selections over the week and I didn’t adjust my lineup on Sunday because I forgot while I was on the golf course. Played Fairchild Wheeler in Fairfield,…

Reflection On “The Big Picture” 1990s Summer Blockbuster Draft

Loved this draft idea from The Big Picture crew. I am not going to be able to do my normal redrafting because there is just enough movies to pick from, but I will have fun going through all of the different categories and determining what my dream lineup would be from the movies i have…
