No Plot Details YetBut You Can Assume John Wick Kicks Ass
Director: Chad Stahelski Writers: Michael Finch, Shay Hatten, Derek Kolstad Staring: Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Horoyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane Release Date: March 24, 2023 IMDB
OMG IT IS HERE!!! HOLY SHIT BALLS!!!
Last name I am in bed ignoring the Boston Red Sox losing by 20 runs, and I get a text.
IT IS THE JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 (2023) TRAILER, HOLY SHTI!
So I watched it twice, and then when I woke up, I watched it three more times. Holy shit, what a way to start the weekend.
There are no plot details yet for the movie, but who gives a shit. John Wick is back from the dead and is rehabbing with only pure vengeance on his mind. We have him going all Kung Fu again with a cast of villainous characters, including the addition of DONNIE YEN to the cast. All-time legend. We have the addition of Bill Skarsgård, who appears to be both an important man at the table but also a knife wielding psycho.
Before we go any further. Just wick punching the board and bloody stains on the fabric…I mean just knockout me out with genre classic cliches. This is a Kung-Fu classic, and I want to see it. The John Wick universe has done a remarkable job putting a spin on the noisiest of familiar moments, so I have full faith in Reeves and director Chad Stahelski to make some more magic hear.
Wick emerging from his hibernation?
“Have you given any thought, to where this ends?”
Shimazu speaking to John Wick
Shimazu is reminding Wick that The Table is going to be coming after him. But, really, Mr. Shimazu, do you think that Mr. Wick cares? You can send the elders of the Table and their glorious white beards to the Continental. You can try and intimidate Charon (Lance Reddick) and threaten Winston (Scott Adkins), but it does not matter to the BABY YAGA.
Also…a very similar shot here.
The exact same shot here. Interesting. We going to get a montage of him walking through cities like this?
So is John Wick going to be looking around with world for Marquis (Bill Skarsgård) and then he finds him in France and Caine (Donnie Yen is his body guard? Are they meeting atop the Eiffel Tower, and this fog covering the tower is symbolic of Wick not knowing who is atop the hierarchy of The Table? (Okay…maybe I am over thinking that one).
Marquis and Caine are in cahoots with one another.
ALSO THERE IS NO COINCIDENCE THAT PIGEONS FLY AWAY WHEN WICK SITS DOWN WITH MARQUIS. We know that the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) loves pigeons. There is a reason. We just don’t know why.
John Wick is going to have to avoid or confront a character named Tracker (Shamier Anderson), so that will be a battle. We see him facing off against Caine and a sweet as unsheathing of his sword makes my body feel funny.
But nothing made my body tingle more in this trailer than when the Bowery King asked Wick: “Are you ready, John?” and all Wick mutter is his classic, “Yea.” He says it all the time. It started in its infamy when he screamed that he is back. He ends John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum(2019) telling the Bowery King that he is indeed pissed off. He is angry folks, and you won’t like Mr. Wick when he is angry.
Oh fuck it, here is the clip.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is bringing in new weapons we haven’t seen before (I see you bow and arrows and nunchucks in the poster), but it is also bringing back some familiar friends. You see those dogs? I see those dogs. Is Sofia (Halle Berry) back? I am thinking she is back. Also, what kind of gun is shooting fire out of its muzzle??
Speaking of nunchucks, check out how good this fucking poster is. I want this poster so bad. The Baby Yaga on the bottom makes it only 10x (YAK crew, you know) better.
I want this in my living room right this moment.
John Wick: Chapter 4 comes out in theaters on March 24, 2023. We need to fast forward in time to get there faster. I can’t wait to watch John Kick ass.

Just a heads up to anyone reading this, there’s going to be less words in this fantasy baseball recap because I’m doing it speech to text and trying to get Google to understand professional baseball players names without me having to go in and retype them all in is going to be a big pain…
