This was just a trip down memory lane. Having watched Scooby-Doo the TV whenever I could, seeing this popup as a streaming option was the perfect evening capper.
Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island is a feature length tale surrounding the Mystery Gang. Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne Blake, Fred Jones and Velma get the gang back together and travel to Moonscar (ohhhh scary!) Island which is supposedly haunted. The group are expecting their classic mask-revealing solution but realize this is something they’d never encountered.
There is not a lot to break down here. Not worth breaking down the voice performances, or the plot, or the animation. Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island is a breezy 80 minute caper that hits everything you’d like from Scooby-Doo. Just get some tea, get a blanket, and let the “ZOINKS” overtake you.
The one undeniable AMAZING part of Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island is the song “It’s Terror Time Again.” It is a phenomenal song. Like no joke, it should circulate in playlists all Halloween playlists and gyms.
