We all know the tale of the Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express is one of the most recognizable tales in literary history. Now it is being brought to live on the silver screen by director Kenneth Branagh with one of the most RIDICULIOUS CASTS I have ever seen.

The Murder of the Orient Express movie contains the talents of Johnny Depp, Michelle, Pfeiffer, Willem Dafoe, Daisey Ridley, Penélope Cruz, Judi God Damn Dench, Josh Gad, and the supremely underrated Branagh (also acting while directing) JUST to name a few.

In the latest trailer that I have attached above, we see more of the directional flare that Branagh is going to bring to the story. This is not his first foray into the directing and acting role; he did so most recently in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit back in 2014. Branagh most recently appeared as Commander Bolton in Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece Dunkirk (2017). His latest directing credit was Disney’s first effort of live-action remakes in 2015, Cinderella.

The Murder of the Orient Express brings together an immense amount of talent, and Branagh is going to have to navigate how to give each of these characters a time to shine. I am willing to bet way too much money that the performances are all going to be above par. I personally hope that this book-to-movie adaption goes a bit better than the slightly disappointing The Girl on the Train (2016).

Fun fact, the first film adaption of the book was in 1974 and in starred some names like Albert Finney, Sean Connery, and Ingrid Bergman.

This trailer just gets me more hyped for the movie. The cast is stacked, the story its adapting is great, and with that, the expectations are sky high.
