311 movies in year, that isn’t too shabby. I am very excited for when Letterboxd Wrapped comes out in January, whenever that is, but for now this will have to do. There was only one week this whole entire year where I did not watch a movie. That one week was in preparation and during Super Bowl week when I was in Arizona for work. That makes a lot of sense.

I averaged six movies per week, which is slightly more than I would have expected. I also watched a lot more Brad Pitt this year than expected. Three Fincher movies added to his numbers, but he became my number one watched star just over the last few days of 2023 with Spy Game (2001) and Se7en (1995).

Seeing the full collage of posters from all the movies I watched in 2023 is awesome. This is the type of abstract art I can love.

Analytics By Week & Day
A lot of Sunday movies which makes sense. Sunday mornings are relaxed mornings. Otherwise its spread out over the days. I watched a ton of movies in the second week of March and the last week of October.

Milestones
Emma asked me on the first day of the 2023 to watch “Heat” and we closed it out with “Man on Fire” together last night. Talk about true love.
Most Watched Directors
No surprise David Fincher is at the top of this list. I rewatch all of his movies. My next project is Ridley Scott…after I finish my James Bond rewatch and rank.

Highest Rated Directors
John Carpenter’s “Halloween.”โ€‚That is the five stars.

Most Watched Stars
Wow, Brad Pitt, impressive, didn’t expect that. Nor Richard Arquette. Lois Maxwell and Sean Connery are there from my Bond project. As is Sigourney Weaver with my Xenomorph project.

Highest Rated Stars
Darin Cooper was in “Gone Girl” and “The Social Network.” Fincher movies is a good way to get positive ratings.

Most Watched by Genres & themes
I like science-fiction, why is it so low? Perhaps I need to study up with it. But the Creature Feature being most watched makes sense seeing how I love bad movies.

Highest Rating By Genres & Themes
Emotional, thought-provoking stories are in my wheelhouse of preferred crying movies. Makes sense how they are so high.

Breakdown
Lots of four stars. I suppose I was generous. Also nearly three-quarters of the movies I watched were from previous years.

Rating Tendencies
How did so many people like “We Own This City”??? Also my harsh mind claims victims of “Red Rocket” and “The Quiet Man”.
