I only clicked on the trailer for Shotgun Wedding (2023) because I saw that it had J-Lo with her pants off and that was enough for me. That is really all I need. I am a simple guy. Jennifer Lopez is beautiful. Stunning. She is better than Beyonce and Rihanna. Yea, come at me. Fight me.

Shotgun Wedding stars Jennifer Lopez and John Duhamel as two very attractive individuals getting married at a gorgeous island resort in front of a cast of interesting characters. The beginning of the trailer introduces us to Tom’s (Josh Duhamel) mother Carol (Jennifer Coolidge), so that is the eccentricity level we are dealing with it.
If you look at the poster and watching only the first 30 seconds of the trailer, you might think it is a classic J-Lo romantic comedy where both parties get cold feet, explore life on the resort avoiding their feelings, before reconciling and getting married. If you thought that, then you’d be WRONG.
I never though that I would be listening to I’ll Be by Edwin McCain with bullets, grenades and glass shattering sound effects ricocheting around my eardrum. What a combination. It would also appear that there is a sing-a-long to this song? It is an absolutely incredible song so I am excited for how cheesy this is going to be.
Do you get the title Shotgun Wedding now? I will admit, I think it’s clever. We literally see J-Lo holding a shotgun popping out of a trap door looking to blow someone’s head off. Don’t know if I should be scared, aroused, or both.
Shotgun Wedding is the perfect streaming movie. It comes out on Amazon Prime on January 27, 2023, and it will garner a weekend worth of attention. It is a perfect braindead movie where you let beautiful people do things they can never do in real life. Am I a little surprised that it is being released before Valentine’s Day season? Yes. But that is probably because Prime has something in their bag.
