Release Date: March 24, 2022

If you showed me the first four seconds of this trailer I would be all hooked in. Vaporize me.

Before we get to deep here, just going to be honest that I enjoy the Halo video games and want to know more about the lore but I am currently knee deep into The Witcher. So one thing at a time.

Master Chief, huh? Yea! That is Master Chief!

Master Chief is one of many Spartans, but he has been enhanced for one thing alone, and that is to win this war that has been raging on. This war is against the Covenant… and CUE THE SWORD! These aliens are of various species. There is turmoil within The Covenant in the video games, so while they are fighting against the humans on the field of battle, there are some major disagreements happening.

“He is lethal, upgradeable, most importantly, controllable.”

This is what is being talked about Master Chief. Safe to say that free will will play a major part in the story.

The Covenant is digging up some ancient artifact, and when Master Chief touches this icon of metallic rock, he feels…different. AKA, now he has a conscious?

Ohhh, in the training to become a Spartan, you become numb of emotions? Sounds like a certain Star Wars badass or Geralt of Rivia.

I wonder if the makers of Halo and specifically Pablo Schrieber, looked at Disney+’s The Mandalorian and Pedro Pascal. Both actors are playing the same part; a man who doesn’t say much but is bent on loyalty and fighting excellence. Oh, and they also can not remove their helmets.

So now as the war is progressing, Master Chief is showing more humanity and the diplomacy of the military is questioning if they can trust their greatest weapon.

OH BUT WAIT, IT IS CORTANA! Wow she is way more human like that in the video games. She is more than just one shade of blue.

So it appears that whatever the Covenant is after and whatever it is that Master Chief found involves it itself…Halo.

Alright, so one part of this trailer I really don’t understand is the fancy dressed women who seemingly has the ability to grow roots and is choking out the humans. Is this a preview of The Flood? This was the part that got my all confused.

Color me shocked, I never would have guessed that a remixed version of Phil Collins’ In The Air The Tonight would appear in the Halo trailer.

Halo comes out on March 24, 2022 on Paramount+. And I am going to watch the fuck out of it.
