Rope (1948) is an Alfred Hitchcock film that doesn’t rely on outstanding visuals or shocking plot twists. Rather, Rope is an outstanding film because of its tight script, which is brought to life with outstanding performances. Taking place in one room over the course of a few hours, Rope dispenses with the who-dun-it mystery and instead places character’s motivations at the forefront.

When I posted that I watched Almost Famous (2000), I had more than a few coworkers and friends reach out to me saying that it was one of, if not their favorite movies. Someone even called it the perfect movie.
Since Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) is happening and there is no stopping, we must take a look at this new movie through its own lens, with as-objective-a-lens as possible. The trailer is out, so fuck it, let’s dive in.
Unfortunately, this bit of action slop is not good.
