PREAMBLE
I am currently lying in bed sick as a dog writing this preamble, but I am not nearly as sick Eric. I can only imagine what he felt like on Tuesday morning when he woke up to see that he lost to me by less than a point. Neither one of us really deserved to win, but hell, you take what you can get.
Jack List had an outstanding week with every single one of his players scoring double digits…except for his defense that had -4.0. Thankfully for him, it didn’t affect his matchup against Brick. Both Drakeley cousins brothers (in arms) both got victories and maintained striking distance between themselves and Bove. The undefeated first place team took down Huntley in what was a matchup of undefeated teams. Now there are only two undefeated teams left;Bove and Gabe. Yup, Gabe just a quiet 3-0.
Onto week four.
WEEK 3 SCOREBOARD
I suppose it is fitting that I am playing Greg Brick the same week that the Patriots are playing the Cowboys? Now I may lose twice this weekend. It is going to be extra painful when Dak Prescott scores a bajillion fantasy points to sink both New England and myself.
I am going to have to make the choice to play possibly unhealthy Anthony Richardson or Lamar Jackson against the buzzsaw that is the Cleveland defense. Also as of now Brick has two players in his roster playing in the Denver vs. Chicago game…which means he may be one of the few paying attention to that game?
Michael Kenney doesn’t have a win yet, and this week he goes up against the team that scored the most points last week. Yikes. Yikes indeed. On a positive note, Kenney’s 106.6 points last week was the highest point total he has had this season.
Jack has to be excited to see that Davante Adams has been a top-notch wide receiver. The Chargers and Raiders game has an over/under of 47.5. If Jimmy Grappollo plays, then I like the over and I like Adams’ outlook. But if its the backup for Las Vegas…perhaps fade the Raiders offense?
Timmy is hoping that his ownership of Keenan Allen suction cups points in the matchup from Bove’s Justin Herbert. Timmy doesn’t care if Herbet throws four touchdowns if three of them go to Keenan Allen. It could have been even better for Timmy if Mike Williams didn’t tear his ACL.
Does Bove have decisions to make at the tight end position? Sure, Mark Andrews is a really nice name…but he has been as productive as Sam LaPorta of Detroit. And Andrews is going up against Cleveland this week.
If you lost starting Raheem Mostert this week, then you have some serious roster restructuring to do. Luckily for Bove that did not happen. It happened in a different league of mine. Crazy times. Bove currently has the QB1 (Justin Herbert) and RB1 (Mostert) in his team.
Huntley got hit with a touch matchup this week, and some tough luck on his end as well. He ranked 11th in the league in points scored by his tight end and defense as opposed to the first two weeks where he thrived at those two positions. He tried to even it out with his best running back week thus far, but still his 50.10 barely beat out Mostert on his own.
Billy has ranked third, first and third in terms of his total team points total over the first three weeks. It is kinda crazy this is just his first win. Massive efforts from some NFC North foes Jordan Love and Justin Jefferson helped Billy to this first W, and credit to Miles Sanders for putting up good numbers against Seattle.
What was Vaghi’s reaction when Cooper’s first initial touchdown was called back because of the official? I imagine he must have been fuming. Vaghi does have to be happy to see that his Jerome Ford bidding worked out. But still the bad taste of Monday night still must linger; Dallas Goedert and Puka Nacua both underperformed and it would have been a great Monday Night miracle.
Gabe just a stealthy 3-0 after this week’s win against Michaud. 110.06 to 87.88 isn’t gonna set any record books on fire, but Gabe gets to have endless optimism for another week. Christian McCaffrey and Deshaun Watson scored over 20 points each. Nothing crazy for Gabe, just a boring victory.
Michaud really got fucked by the injury bug. Big time fucked. No Austin Ekeler, Brandon Aiyuk or David Montgomery. Those are three starters that would have replaced some of the single-digit performers in his roster. There was nothing he could do either. He played the best cards that he was dealt.
I was the luckiest person to win this week; I had the 10th lowest point total and thankfully it was just enough to beat Eric.
Huntley & Vaghi both got unlucky this week; both had top-half point totals but ended up with losses.
Gabe joined me as the lucky ones.
Bove had the top spot in five statistical categories this week.
List, the top scoring team of the week, led the way in four statistical categories.
Michaud ranked the lowest in seven different statistical categories this week.
List set new season-bests in many different various categories: Points Scored, Points Compared To Projected, Wide Receiver Points
List had a monster week despite having the worst defensive output of anyone thus far this season with -4.0 points.
Bove set new season-bests in many different various categories: Points Scored By Bench, Full Team Points Total, Kicker Points
Bove’s point total of 108.08 would have beaten out Kenney, myself, Eric and Michaud on its own.
List put up monster numbers in the wide receiver position; he had 82.80 points from his wide outs and the next nearest scorer was Timmy’s team with 58.66 points.

WEEK 4 MATCHUPS
Yea I am dreading this matchup. Everything about this. I am not liking it one bit. Dak Prescott is going to shit over my dreams. I can feel it happening. It is going to ruin my Sunday. I am going to get back from Omaha and sit on my couch and be very sad.
I will say here that I am playing Anthony Richardson over Lamar Jackson this week because I am scared of the Browns defense. I don’t like that my running backs are all part of a committee.
Will Michael Kenney get his first win this week? He is putting a lot of pressure on the best game of the week: Tua Tagovailoa, De’Von Achane, Stefon Diggs, Tyler Bass will be throwing talents against one another come Sunday at 1 PM.
Jack List is coming into this matchup off a win and the best output of anyone in week three. He went from the second most points in week 1, to the 10th fewest points last week, back to the most points this past week. His wide receivers scored 82.8 points in week three, which surpasses the 66.40 they combined to score in the first two weeks.
Timmy has won two straight and Bove has cruised to three straight wins together. Personally speaking. I am rooting for Bove because I would like Tony Pollard and CeeDee Lamb to not tear apart the Patriots defense.
Timmy has seen the best output from his highest points scorer this season. His highest scorers are averaging an absurd 33.30 points per game. That is pretty damn impressive.
Another very close matchup, at least according to the projected numbers. But who the hell knows. Eric is tossing those predictions into the wastebasket out of pure disdain for the way his season has unfolded early. But good news for Eric is that he is getting Alvin Kamara back so an upgrade to his arsenal should improve his record.
Billy sits at 1-2 and his slightly lackluster because his running back output has averaged out to the bottom half of the league. This week in the win he got 17 points from Miles Sanders and he had the sixth best points from running backs.
According to the projected points, this matchup is going to be very close. The final moments of this matchup will be determined on Sunday night and Monday night. Huntley has Three different players from either the Chiefs/Jets on Sunday, and then Kenneth Walker III is lacing up on Monday night against the Giants on Monday.
Deshaun Watson is questionable? Didn’t know he got hurt in any way. Must be a tad bit out of the loop. All signs are pointing toward Jaylen Waddle playing against Buffalo so that will be a massive boost to Huntley’s wide receiver core.
Two questionable running back statuses for both teams; Jerome Ford for Vaghi and Austin Ekeler for Michaud. Vaghi has had a bit of bad luck with the third most points against but Vaghi & Michaud rank eighth and ninth in points scored, respectively
Both teams want to get back on the winning track this week; Michaud has lost two straight and Vaghi comes in with a 1-2 record.
