How’d I Do On 2023 NFL Predictions & Win Totals?

With the conclusion of the 2023-24 NFL season, let’s take a gander at how I did with my predictions I laid out back in September. Here is to hope that I wasn’t too, too bad.

Let’s get after it.

AFC EAST

Had Buffalo on top, but I banged on the Jets being good with Aaron Rodgers. Then he got hurt in week one. I had the Patriots as bad…but not as bad as they actually were.

AFC NORTH

Joe Burrow getting hurt was a big blow to my predictions for this division. Pittsburgh going 5-1 in division is very impressive. Also, all four teams going above .500 is just nuts.

AFC SOUTH

I royally fucked up this division. Absolutely nothing right. Houston and Indianapolis got many more wins than I expected. Was excited to see Houston be good. A good fun young team.

AFC WEST

The Chiefs still reign supreme, and the Chargers still suck. I should never have put faith in Brandon Staley. The Denver Broncos had a rocky year and were tough to watch. Las Vegas also had some roller coaster moments, but they ended up being frisky fun.

NFC EAST

I didn’t want to believe in the Cowboys. I guess I was wrong…but also right, if you look at the playoffs. The Eagles stuttered near the end, but I was fairly close with the Giants and Commanders.

I got this one pretty right! Happy about this. Got the order correct. The Vikings probably surpassed expectations with all the injuries they had.

Alright Tampa Bay. Wow. I didn’t expect Baker Mayfield to “dominate” like this. The division was bad, and I had that right. But in terms of who was were, that was a little jumbled. I do think the Atlanta Falcons were the only team that I got 100% right.

San Francisco was indeed a wagon in this division. The Arizona Cardinals did final in last, but Kyler Murray has some wins in his pocket in his return. I just didn’t think he was returning this season.
