EXPECTED RECORD IN EACH CATEGORY

If you are in the top half of scores in the category, you get a win. If you are in the bottom half, you get a loss. If you are tied for the fifth ranked score, you get a tie.

These tabulations are not going to equal out in terms of wins and losses because I was kind and tabulated this expected win/loss based on if you tally in that category for the week was fifth ranked or higher. There will be no ties in these tabulations. This is basically to see who was the luckiest and unluckiest of the season.

This is what your record would be if everything ran your way throughout the season.

I have also included a PDF document where I calculated the averages and you can see a color coding system for who was hot and cold during certain categories throughout the season.

According to this, I was the most unlucky team this season. I swear I did not know this when I went through every week. Even more crazy is that DiMaio should have been even more dominant than he was. Bove is the only team in my research that deserved to win less categories than he did.

  • Bove went 13-5 in OBP during the regular season, but he should have gone 6-12 based off his rankings every week.
  • DiMaio went 4-10-4 in the wins category, but he should have had 10 wins in the wins category if he got the most possible luck.
  • Eric should have had five more home run wins.
  • I should have had six more wins in the wins category and OBP category. I also should have had five more wins in the RBI category.
