• Oh, this is a Tom Hanks movie. I mean everything about it is Tom Hanks. Elderly man leading a lost youthful soul to a home and a sense of homeyness
• Dariusz Wolski, the cinematographer for this movie, made it look INCREDIBLE. I know a western landscape is “easy” to make look solid, however there are some vistas and set pieces scenes that are very, very good.
• Some credit needs to be given to Helena Zengel who played Johanna in the movie; playing a traumatized child who doesn’t know the English language.
• News Of The World is one of the better western movies I have seen in recent years. I think since Hostiles in (2017) or Hell Or High Water (2016).
